If you seek HALAL Certification in Abu Dhabi or a HALAL Certificate in Abu Dhabi, you need to work with an accredited certification body. We focus on issuing HALAL Standard Certificates. We do not provide consultancy services. You must develop your management system (for HALAL audit) through reputed HALAL consultants. Then we assess compliance and issue certificates.
The HALAL Certification requirement in Abu Dhabi applies to food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, restaurants, slaughterhouses, hotels, and more. Many industrial and commercial areas including Mussafah, Khalifa Industrial Zone, Al Ain, Al Mafraq, and Abu Dhabi’s city zones host manufacturers aiming for HALAL Certified in Abu Dhabi status.
In UAE law, the control of HALAL products is regulated by Cabinet Decree No. 10 of 2014. That decree mandates that establishments must obtain a HALAL Certificate for their final products and raw materials, from HALAL Certification Bodies registered with MOIAT.
The HALAL Certification requirement in Abu Dhabi ensures that halal goods meet both Islamic Sharia guidelines and technical quality and safety standards.
Having a HALAL Certificate in Abu Dhabi is often mandatory for market access—especially in government tenders, supermarket chains, exports to Muslim markets, and public trust.
Only HALAL Certification Bodies that are accredited and registered under the UAE scheme (through MOIAT / National Accreditation Department) are accepted.
A reputed certification body plays a critical role: it audits, evaluates, and grants HALAL certificates based on compliance. It does not design your system. It does not act as a consultant.
Your responsibility is to develop your HALAL management system, implement internal procedures, train staff, and maintain records. You may hire trusted HALAL consultants or HALAL auditor trainers in Abu Dhabi (or GCC) for system design.
Once your system is ready, the certification body dispatches auditors (HALAL auditors) to perform on-site inspection, review documentation, verify processes, test evidence, and decide whether to issue the HALAL Standard Certificate.
An accredited certification body is evaluated under UAE.S 2055 2 (General Requirements for HALAL Certification Bodies) and regional OIC/SMIIC standards.
We ensure impartiality, technical competence, transparency, and ongoing surveillance of certified sites.
Here is a typical process for obtaining HALAL Certification in Abu Dhabi.
You or your HALAL consultant must develop and document your HALAL management system. This includes: ingredient control, supplier vetting, production procedures, cleaning, cross contamination safeguards, traceability, personnel training, record keeping, internal audits, and corrective action procedures.
You apply to the certification body. Submit your documents: legal trade license, organizational chart, list of products, ingredient lists, process flowcharts, facility layout, GMP or food safety systems, halal control procedures, cleaning logs, traceability records, internal audit reports, and staff training evidence.
The certification body reviews your documents for completeness and compliance with HALAL Standard. They may request clarifications or modifications.
An auditor inspects your facility, interviews staff, observes processes, verifies implementation, inspects cleaning records, visits storage, production, packaging, etc. The auditor then compiles a report with findings and nonconformities (if any).
You address nonconformities with corrective actions and evidence. The auditor may re-check those items.
If compliance is satisfactory, the certification body grants the HALAL Certificate validity and allows use of the HALAL mark or logo under the approved scope.
During the validity period, the certified facility is subject to surveillance audits, periodic checks, or reassessments to confirm continued compliance.
Before expiry, the certification is renewed through a fresh audit or evaluation to extend the HALAL Certificate validity.
Note: The certification body does not provide consulting services or design your system. That work must be done independently or via trusted HALAL consultants.
If your facility is in industrial zones like Mussafah, Khalifa, or Al Ain, make sure your HALAL system accounts for multi-line operations, co packing, or shared utilities.
The HALAL Certification cost in Abu Dhabi (or UAE) depends on many factors: size of facility, number of production lines, complexity of product mix, travel distance for auditors, number of audit days, and corrective actions.
Although fixed public tariffs are rare, estimated cost components may include: application fee, document review fee, on site audit days fee (auditor daily rate), travel/lodging for auditors, corrective action follow-up, surveillance visits, renewal audit.
To give a rough idea, many certification bodies charge a few thousand to tens of thousands AED for a full assessment and certification cycle.
However, since we are an accredited certification body, we aim to deliver best cost HALAL Certification while maintaining integrity. We encourage you to request a tailored quote (based on your scope) rather than accept flat rates.
Be wary of consultancies that promise HALAL Certificates for extremely low fees—they may not be recognized, accredited, or compliant.
Typically, a HALAL Certificate validity ranges from one to three years, depending on the category, complexity, and performance of the facility.
During the validity period, you must maintain the system, submit periodic surveillance audits, and comply with any findings. Renewal must be initiated before expiry to avoid lapse.
Note: Some sectors (e.g. restaurants, slaughterhouses) may require annual audits, while manufacturing of stable products might receive longer validity intervals.
We act strictly as an accredited certification body. We carry out impartial audits, assessments, and issue HALAL certificates to organizations whose systems comply with HALAL requirements.

Some certification bodies may attempt lowest-cost HALAL Certification by cutting corners; but that risks non-recognition or reputational loss. Always verify that the body is listed in the MOIAT / national accreditation directories.
Many clients operate in Mussafah Industrial Area, Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), Al Ain, Al Mafraq, Al Dhafra and other zones. They may produce food, beverages, snacks, dairy, cosmetics, or operate restaurants and hotels.
Such companies often require HALAL Certification to supply national retailers (e.g. Abu Dhabi Co-op, Lulu, Carrefour), government institutions, or export markets.
If you are in Masdar City, Shams 1, or twofour54 zones, but dealing in consumables or food services, you too may need HALAL compliance.
