NORMEIRA’s accreditation position is anchored in accreditation issued by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC), the official governmental accreditation body in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. EIAC accredits conformity assessment bodies, including certification bodies for management systems, products, and personnel, and its recognition framework supports confidence in accredited certification within the UAE and in international markets.
From 1 January 2026, the international accreditation landscape entered a new phase with the commencement of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, now represented under the acronym Global ACI. Global ACI has assumed the former roles of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), while the former IAF site remains available for archival and reference purposes. Within this updated global framework, EIAC continues to sit within an internationally recognised accreditation structure that supports worldwide confidence in accredited conformity assessment.
EIAC is the official governmental body responsible for accreditation in Dubai and the UAE quality infrastructure. It accredits certification bodies for management systems, products, and personnel, in addition to other conformity assessment activities. Global ACI describes its Full Members as accreditation body members accepted as Global ACI MRA signatories, and EIAC is listed within the Global ACI MRA signatory framework for ISO/IEC 17021-1 and other major scopes.
NORMEIRA provides certification services within the EIAC accredited management systems and food-safety schemes currently covered by its approved accreditation scope.
Across the accredited management systems scope, NORMEIRA’s EIAC accredited coverage includes a broad range of economic sectors reflected in the approved accreditation scope. These sectors include food and beverage, textiles and leather, wood and paper products, chemicals, rubber and plastics, metals, machinery, electrical and optical equipment, shipbuilding, general manufacturing, construction, wholesale and retail trade, hotels and restaurants, financial and real-estate related services, engineering services, information technology where applicable, public administration, education, and other structured service activities. Scheme applicability remains subject to the detailed accredited scope and the certification scope of the client organisation.
For food safety certification, NORMEIRA’s EIAC-accredited ISO 22000 and HACCP scope covers key food-chain categories including processing of animal products, processing of plant-based products, mixed products, ambient stable products, catering and food service, retail and wholesale activities, brokering and trading, and transport and storage services within the approved scope categories.
According to the accreditation scope certificates, EIAC-accredited certificates under these schemes are allowed to be issued from the Dubai office address reflected in the accreditation documents, and the approved countries listed in the scope certificates include the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Pakistan.
The schemes listed above are the EIAC accredited certification schemes currently forming the core of NORMEIRA’s accredited offering. They represent NORMEIRA’s recognised certification authority in the fields of quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and food safety. Through EIAC accreditation and the continuity of international recognition under the Global ACI framework, NORMEIRA is positioned to provide certification services with credibility, authenticity, and recognised third-party assurance for organisations seeking trusted certification in the UAE and beyond.
