The Certification Objective
Blue Horizon pursued certification of its Integrated Management System (IMS) against three internationally recognized ISO standards:
ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System

ISO 14001:2015 — Environmental Management System
Providing a structured approach to managing relevant environmental responsibilities and aspects associated with the organization's activities.
ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational Health & Safety Management System
Providing a systematic framework for managing occupational health and safety within the organization's operations.
By integrating these three standards into a single management-system framework, Blue Horizon sought to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining effective practices across quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety.
The NORMEIRA Certification Journey
NORMEIRA Standardization Certifications conducted an independent conformity assessment of Blue Horizon's Integrated Management System against the applicable requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, within the organization's defined certification scope. The certification journey began with initial certification in August 2024, followed by the applicable surveillance audits during the certification cycle.
August 2024: Initial Certification
NORMEIRA conducted the initial certification assessment of Blue Horizon's Integrated Management System against the requirements of the three applicable ISO standards and the defined scope of certification. Following the applicable certification process and decision, Blue Horizon achieved certification to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
August 2025: First Surveillance Audit
The first surveillance audit was conducted in August 2025 as part of the ongoing certification cycle. The assessment provided an independent evaluation of the continued conformity and effectiveness of the certified management system within the applicable scope.
August 2026: Second Surveillance Audit
The second surveillance audit was completed in August 2026, continuing the certification cycle and providing a further independent assessment of the organization's ongoing conformity with the applicable ISO requirements.
The three-stage journey demonstrates that ISO certification is not simply a one-time achievement. Continued certification involves ongoing evaluation throughout the certification cycle.

As the independent certification body, NORMEIRA Standardization Certifications assessed Blue Horizon's Integrated Management System against the applicable ISO requirements within the agreed certification scope.
